OPEN DOOR
— how will belongings play a role in preserving modern legacies?

At the intersection of still life and portraiture, “Open Door” explores the identities of 8 women through their personal space and belongings.

Everyday objects are transformed into altar-like formations, paying homage to the divinity, uniqueness, and resiliency of each woman and their experiences.

Even in physical absence, their presence is embodied by existential artifacts.

In an increasingly complex world, how will belongings play a role in preserving modern legacies?

In May 2021, this body was featured in The Gap Gallery's "Gap Ladies Show" in Charleston, SC.
